Murray Kelman
Junior Environmental Consultant
I have a deep passion for wildlife and research, with a particular interest in poorly known species and regions. My work with Enviro-dynamics began as a school-based traineeship in 2021, during which time I gained proficiency in weed management, river restoration, orthomosaic mapping, conservation works, GIS and more. In 2023 I left Tasmania and travelled for a gap year, which included working as an expedition guide in the coastal Kimberley region of WA. During my gap year I worked remotely for Enviro-dynamics, coordinating communications content.
I am now completing a BSc (Zoology & Ecology) at James Cook University in North Queensland. I continue to work for Enviro-dynamics, both remotely and on-site, with the majority of my projects now revolving around my zoological interests.
My interests are broad ranging, with a particular avian knowledge base. I am also engaged in microbat research, a project of particular interest to me given the lack of research into this unique group of animals. My spare time often finds me searching for rare and unique wildlife, usually with a camera in hand. You can see a small selection of my photos here.
