Stuart is an experienced ecologist and conservation professional with extensive skills in ecological research, vegetation management, invasive weed control, and restoration planning.
He has expertise in plant identification, field surveying, and specialised mapping using QGIS software. Stuart holds a Graduate Certificate in Regenerative Agriculture and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biological Sciences from the University of Tasmania.
His practical knowledge includes managing some of Tasmania’s most challenging invasive species, such as orange hawkweed, Chilean needle grass, and serrated tussock. Passionate about effective science communication and community education, Stuart is focused on delivering high-quality conservation outcomes and actions that make a difference.
